What a wonderful day we have had, the kind that memories are made of. I had a gloriously lazy morning reading a book in the hammock while the kids ran through the sprinkler. Then we had a simple picnic lunch in the back yard. In the afternoon we laid on the couch watching "Enchanted" and much to our surprise Joel came home early from work. We spent the evening sitting around the fire pit roasting marshmallows and eating s
'mores. The kids wished on the first star, we sang our night-night songs, said our prayers and carried our sleepy little ones to bed. It's at times like these that I'm so intensely grateful for the gift of our family. These were the simple pleasures that I prayed and cried and longed for through nearly five years of infertility. To have the dream fulfilled is very sweet indeed.
He settles the barren woman in her home
as a happy mother of children.
Praise the Lord.

Wonderful post! We've been wanting to get a fire pit, too; I can just taste those s'mores already...
Ahhhhh... I LOVE days like those!! Sooo glad you had one. I'm due for one... I'll have to be on the lookout -- maybe this post will rub off on me! :0)
Oh, and I loved your post last week (or the week before) about livin' green. I could so relate to a lot of what you said. I'm kind of forced into some things because of how far out we live... but there are definitely other areas where I am learning to make better decisions.... thanks for sharing!
Love,
Amber
